To assist in planning and tracking purposes, iterations can be flagged as "Started" and "Finished". The acts of starting and finishing iterations are important in effectively using AgileTrack to track iterations.
Started
Until an iteration is "Started", its statistics will not be tracked. An iteration that is started and not finished is essentially "in progress". It is expected that during iteration planning, the iteration has not been marked "Started". However, issues can be assigned to an iteration even after it is marked started. When adjusting the plan for an active iteration, the change is tracked in the iteration statistics.
Finished
Once an iteration is "Finished", statistics tracking for the iteration will stop. After an iteration has been finished, it is no longer available for issue assignment. Iteration assignment combo boxes will not list finished iterations. After an iteration is finished, its stats can be viewed and used for planning future iteations.
