1.4 Stories

In Extreme Programming user stories take the place large requirements documentation. A user story is similar to a use case and generally has a minimal amount of detail initially. When it comes time to implement a story, it is described in more detail by the customer or other interested party, and broken into well-estimated individual tasks to be performed.

This is where AgileTrack becomes most useful. In traditional Extreme Programming, stories are to be tracked on index cards. While there are certain conveniences and advantages to such a system, it can quickly become unweildy in the face of multiple projects and priorities. Like many other task tracking systems, AgileTrack attempts to get a handle on the problem by tracking stories and other issues electronically. It is not unique in that sense and offers many of the categorization options common to many systems, though certainly not identical. What makes AgileTrack unique is the interface it provides for interacting and managing the work that needs to be done.
